German Village offers the exciting opportunity to live in one of Columbus' premier historic districts.  Buildings often date back to the 1800's, many buildings have maintained the original look of the time.  This neighborhood has tree-lined brick streets lined with homes, gardens, shops, and galleries.  The charm of the area has made it a popular place for people to live, just South of downtown Columbus, making commuting times very short and convenient public transportation available through COTA.  In the past the area was settled by Germans, but the people currently living in German Village are a diverse group.

There is much to explore in German Village and the neighboring historical Brewery District in the way of entertainment, once a year the neighborhood plays host to the traditional Oktoberfest.  It also features several parks; Schiller Park that includes an amphitheater, where free performances sometimes take place, and Frank Fetch Park.
